It is also a good way to stimulate employee and to improve their working conditions ) Interview During our visit of Le Furet, we talked to the floorwalker of the literature section : Sophie D. She explained us how she works every day, what are her objectives and the qualifications required for the job : The relation between the seller and the customer is very different from one to another. This interview showed us that employees in Le Furet Du Nord are strongly motivated because they have opportunities for personal growth, recognition, responsibility: all factors that are likely to improve their job satisfaction. That is why most of qualified employees of Le Furet perfom in their job. III. Marketing Marketing strategy Le Furet Du Nord is a B to C company, it means that this company sells its products directly to the customers. [...]

During this appraisal, they discuss about employee's work performance and his (or her) possibilities to move up. The remuneration is completed by bonuses for productivity and participation : last September, an operation called (Bonne Idée Furet) has been set up. In July 1999, “Extrapole”, a chain of bookshops, and its shareholder “Hachette Distribution Services” bought Le Furet Du Nord. Accompanying this big enlargement, Hachette will also buy the French shops of the “Virgin Megastore” chain. In 2005, the 12th opened in Roubaix. It offers an amazing variety of books, stationery, CD's and DVD's on a 1200 square meters area. Just after the opening of this shop, the Furet of St Quentin and Boulogne-Sur-Mer both closed ) The organizational form of the business The kind of organization Le Furet Du Nord is owned by the company Lagardère Services.
